‘Feb-ibig para sa Malay: Coastal Clean up Day’
The Malay PNP under the leadership of PLt.Col DON DICKSIE L DE DIOS, Chief of Police remain steadfast to its core value of Makakalikasan (environment-friendly) centered on respect for private/public properties and protection and conservation of the environment to maintain ecological balance.
On February 14, 2022, a Coastal Clean Up Drive with a Theme of ‘Feb-ibig para sa Malay’ spearheaded by MENRO headed by Marianne Salvacion and with the participation of Malay PNP, Kaligkasan Force Multipliers, Malay Tourism Office headed by Felix Delos Santos Jr., MDRRMO-Beach Guard, and other LGU and Barangay Officials at Long Beach, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
The activity aims to promote waste reduction and create public awareness on waste management and environmental concerns as well as to improve outdoor recreational activities of the community which is in line with the PNP’s BARANGAYanihan project. This also acknowledges the importance of cooperation in order to achieve the goals of the PNP initiative and also supports DENR in achieving the objectives of its respective mandates.
