Bread & Butter Supports Soroptimist Lumina’s Fun Run For A Cause

KALIBO, AKLAN —  Bread & Butter Bakeshop joined Soroptimist International of Kalibo Lumina as one of the major sponsors of its Fun Run for a Cause, held in front of the Aklan Provincial Capitol in Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan. The event promoted health and wellness while raising funds for the organization’s scholar beneficiaries.
The success of the event was made possible through the outstanding leadership of President Charina Salve A. Garcia, together with the dedication of Soroptimist Lumina members, volunteers, sponsors, and participants united by a common purpose.

As part of its sponsorship, Bread & Butter provided gift certificates to selected winners and distributed  Tuna Roll Filled Bun to more than a thousand runners. Led by Vice President Josefine Lucille C. Dela Cruz, who also serves as Treasurer of Soroptimist Lumina, the Bread & Butter volunteer team began preparations as early as 2:00 a.m. to ensure the snacks were ready for distribution.

Beyond the sponsorship, the activity highlighted the value of volunteerism, teamwork, and shared responsibility. The dedication of those who gave their time and effort demonstrated that community service goes beyond financial contributions—it is also about willingly sharing one’s resources, energy, and talents to make a difference in the lives of others.

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment, and opportunities for a better future. The proceeds from the fun run will benefit Soroptimist Lumina’s scholar beneficiaries, helping support their educational aspirations.
