Akeanon Company gives 13th month pay and a cash gift to employees

KALIBO, Aklan- Sana  all! An emerging incorporated company is generating a reputation as one of the most generous employers in the province.

This developed after employees posted in social media that they did not only receive their 13th month’s pay. They also received a cash bonus as an added incentive to their salary.

Almost all of the businesses in the province were affected by the global COVID-19 pandemic, and most of the businesses could only afford a 13 month pay as this is mandatory under the labor laws.

The company was the MZJLC Finance Incorporated and Easy Lending Company.

“Mas Pina Merry Christmas and upcoming Happy New Year! Thank you so much for the bonus and the 13th month’s pay. God bless and more blessings to come,” one of the staff members said, as posted on Facebook.

Unknown to many, the finance company based in Nabas, Aklan, was one of several businesses owned by partners Dr. Armenio Cordero 81 and Michelle Cordero.

The Cordero partnership also owns several businesses in the province of Aklan, including Boracay. Among those businesses were the Balikbayan Inn, the Evergreen Resort in Kalibo among others.
