Boracay vendor returns P2M he found to tourist

BORACAY Island, Malay Aklan – An unidentified vendor has returned a whopping P2 million owned by a tourist.

In a Facebook post, the Salaam Police Advocacy group said the vendor immediately turned the loot over to the Malay Municipal Station for safekeeping. The money was placed inside the wallet, so the police immediately connected with the owner.

The Salaam Advocacy Group said the vendor does not think twice about returning the money to the tourist.

The said advocacy group is managed by Muslims, who have migrated to Boracay to do trade in the past years. They have committed to helping Boracay live in peace.

According to the Malay Tourism Office, Boracay has registered 71, 044 foreign and local tourists from December 1โ€“15, 2022. Of the said number, 56697 were foreign tourists, some 2, 234 were Sverseas Filipino Workers and the rest, 11, 113 were foreign tourists.
