CARD MRI Hijos Tours launches ‘Isla at Pamana’ Tour Program in Western Visayas

Boracay Island- CARD MRI Hijos Tours, Inc., the CARD MRI's community-based tourism arm, launched its newest tour program, the Isla at Pamana Tour, featuring Iloilo City, Kalibo, and Boracay Island on August 12 to 16, 2026.

The program aims to provide CARD communities and the public with an opportunity to explore the region’s nature-culture heritage through an itinerary designed to introduce participants to the communities, culture, and heritage of Western Visayas while supporting local tourism initiatives.

“This tour program is a return to our shared roots. We connect our travelers to experience a tour with the purpose of learning to appreciate and respect our ancestral cultures and traditions that continue to shape our communities today," said CARD MRI Hijos Tours President and Chair Marilyn Magampon Manila.

In partnership with USWAG Development Foundation, Inc. (USAWAG DFI), a social development non- profit organization, the five-day tour took participants to local culinary stops and historic churches in Jaro and Molo. They also witnessed traditional Piña cloth weaving and visited the Kalibo Cathedral, town plaza, and Ati-Atihan exhibit.

The participants also enjoyed Boracay Island with island hopping, a visit to the set of CARD MRI’s inaugural film project, and an opportunity to meet and learn directly from the native Ati community, the island’s original inhabitants.

“Our goal for this tour is for participants to go home with more than just good memories. We hope they also gain deeper appreciation for our local culture and for the communities that continue to keep our traditions alive,” Manila concluded.

This tour program is open to both CARD and non-CARD travelers and offers accessible, convenient travel package options. CARD MRI regular staff may avail themselves of the "Travel Now, Pay Later’ plan, with CARD Leasing and Finance Corporation (CARD LFC) providing the financing scheme and CARD MRI Hijos Tours, Inc. facilitating tour bookings.
