Philippines Woos More Japanese Tourists @ Tourism Expo Japan 2026

TOKYO, Japan โ The Philippines is stepping up efforts to attract more Japanese tourists as it showcases its destinations and diverse travel experiences at Tourism Expo Japan (TEJ) 2026 in Tokyo.
The Philippine delegation spent the first two days of the expo engaging with Japanese travel buyers and tourism industry partners through business meetings, product presentations and discussions aimed at bringing more Philippine destinations and tourism experiences to the Japanese market.
The Philippine trade delegation of 12 sellers was led by Tourism Undersecretary Stanley K. Ng, with Tourism Attachรฉ Niel Ballesteros, who oversees the Philippinesโ tourism market engagement in Tokyo.
The trade program culminated in a Philippine Networking Reception held at The Kudan, the Official Residence of the Philippine Ambassador to Japan. The reception was hosted by Philippine Ambassador to Japan Mylene G. Albano and organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines.
The networking event provided an opportunity for Philippine tourism stakeholders and Japanese industry partners to continue discussions beyond the exhibition floor and explore opportunities to strengthen tourism exchanges between the two countries.
On September 26โ27, the Philippine booth opened its doors to the general public, featuring destination showcases, wellness experiences, live performances, travel talks and interactive activities designed to introduce Japanese visitors to the many ways they can experience the Philippines.
The Philippine booth is located at G36, East Hall 2, Tokyo Big Sight.
Through its participation in TEJ 2026, the Philippines is highlighting its beaches, nature attractions, culture, wellness offerings and other tourism experiences as it seeks to deepen its presence in the Japanese travel market.
The campaign carries the message of โLove the Philippines,โ inviting Japanese travelers to discover more destinations and experiences across the country.
