DMW Reaffirms Commitment to Cooperate on Mutual Labor Migration with Ukraine

Manila- Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac reaffirmed that the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will not tolerate illegal migration pathways towards any country, underscoring the agency’s commitment to strengthening cooperation to protect overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in both in the land-based and sea-based sectors, during a courtesy call today with Her Excellency Yuliia Oleksandrivna Fediv, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Philippines, together with Oleksandr Lysak, First Secretary, and Olena Vaniuhova, Second Secretary for Consular Affairs, on February 6, 2026, at the DMW Central Office.

Joining Secretary Cacdac were Undersecretary Felicitas Q. Bay; Assistant Secretaries Levinson C. Alcantara, Julyn S. Ambito-Fermin, and Maria Regina Galias; Director Jerome P. Yanson; and Director Alena Grace Borra of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Office of European Affairs. ###
