In 2023, when I asked help from then Congressman Carlito Marquez for my and Sarri’s hospital bills, no questions were asked. He simply said he would give us the maximum help he could. From there, Kuya Jess Marquez stepped in and became our constant point of contact. He regularly updated me on how Sarri was doing, how Matt and I were holding up, and made sure everything was taken care of.

All our transactions were smooth. And on the rare times he could not reply immediately, his staff was always on call for us.

For everyone I personally endorsed for assistance, all were accommodated—every single one. Among all the solicitations I asked for under the endorsement of Kuya Jess, everything was granted.

It was Kuya Jess who followed up and made sure his love offerings arrived on time, sometimes even in advance. He remembered Sarri every Christmas and on birthdays, and never failed to invite us to his special events as well.
