KALIBO, Aklan- Police Executive Master Sergeant Michael Pontoy of the Aklan Provincial Police Office (APPO) has represented the Police Regional Office-Western Visayas (PRO-6) in the 40th Foundation Anniversary of the Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (METROBANK) held last January 31, 2026.
PEMS Pontoy told the Akeanon News that in the said event, he personally met Lt Gen Edgar Allan Okubo, Deputy for Operations of the Philippine National Police Gen Romeo Brawner, Jr of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Secretary Sonny Angara of the Department of Education.
In 2014, Pontoy was named as one of the ten Country’s Outstanding Policemen in coordination with the Metrobank Foundation.
The 40th anniversary of the Metrobank was held at the Taytan College in Pasay City. This year’s theme is 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗦: 𝗔 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀.
