DSWD Angels in Red Vests facilitated the distribution to ensure that aid reached the rightful beneficiaries.
The BBM Serbisyo, or Basta Beripikado Mabilis ang Serbisyo, online registration was also conducted. The digital platform uses the PhilSys ID to verify the agencyโ€™s client beneficiaries to prevent fraud and duplication and to efficiently deliver social services to those who need them most.
The assistance is in line with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian and the mandate of President Ferdinand โ€œBongbongโ€ Marcos Jr. to continue providing support to affected families until they fully recover.
The agency emphasized that all distributions follow a thorough and transparent process, guided by Memorandum Circular No. 11, which outlines the Revised Guidelines on the Conduct of Emergency Cash Transfers.
The ongoing intervention highlights the governmentโ€™s commitment to delivering timely and responsive support to communities impacted by disasters./jam
