Boracay as a Luxury Destination?

Recognized as Asia’s Leading Luxury Island Destination, Boracay can take advantage to gain in solidifying its spot in the “luxury” label. Marketing efforts must target the niche luxury seeking market. Tiktokers featuring Boracay must understand that contents promoting cheap options only targets budgetarian travellers who just crowd the island. Big arrival numbers alone does not justify success. It has to yield profit.
Let’s not make Boracay available for everyone! We should make Boracay a luxury โ€” na pinaghahandaan, na pinag-iipunan, na pinag gagastusan kapag plinano natin itong bisitahin. Gawin nating “premyo” ang tingin ng tao sa Boracayโ€”like it’s a prize to visit Boracay. Wag natin gawing affordable para sa lahat. We don’t need big numbers. We only need quality visitorsโ€”responsible travellers who are willing to spend.
Tingnan mo ngayon ang front beach kapag sunset kung ano ka lugaw. It doesn’t show any luxury at all because we market it for everyone.
Personally, I have less respect for bigheaded Tiktokers thinking that their big following entitles them to sound experts on tourism. Kaya madami nasa-scam. Akala ng turista ganun ka mura sa Boracay. Credibility is key. Be critical, Pilipinas.
