Not next year. Not the next election cycle. Not the next tourism season.
Will we still be talking about unfinished infrastructure, waste management, flooding, power outages, and carrying capacity? Or will we have finally built the systems needed to support a thriving island community?
As a business community, we often spend our time reacting to todayโs challenges. But perhaps itโs time to start imagining tomorrowโs opportunities.
What if Boracay became a global model for sustainable island development? A place where economic growth, environmental protection, culture, innovation, and quality of life work together instead of competing with one another.
The future of Boracay should not be left only to government, business leaders, or developers. The young people who will inherit this island should have a voice in shaping it.
Iโd like to start a conversation.
What are your hopes for Boracay in 2056?
What should we be building, protecting, improving, or reimagining today so that future generations can be proud of what we leave behind?
There are no wrong answers. Every great vision starts as a discussion.
Letโs dream a little bigger and think a little longer.
Many of us have spent the last 20 or 30 years building the Boracay we know today. The next 30 years belong to the youth. What kind of island do you want to inherit?
