Tourism Business Exchange (CTBEX) 2026: Launching ONE CALABARZON

Calamba, Laguna- The CALABARZON Tourism Business Exchange (CTBEx) 2026 concluded with resounding success, marking a new milestone in regional tourism with the official launch of ONE CALABARZON. Spearheaded by the CAITO-CALABARZON Alliance of Independent Tour Operators, under the leadership of Lorie Tepora, Chairman and Founding President, the event showcased the strength of collaboration between private stakeholders and the Department of Tourism-CALABARZON Region.

The keynote address was delivered by Regional Director Marites T. Castro, who emphasized the importance of unity and innovation in positioning CALABARZON as a premier tourism destination. A Message of Support was given by Assistant Secretary Judilyn Quiachon, representing DOT Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay, reaffirming the national government’s commitment to regional tourism growth.

Adding warmth to the occasion, Elvie Sanchez-Quiazon, Vice President for Sales and Marketing of Bellevue Manila, extended greetings to participants, highlighting the hospitality industry’s role in sustaining tourism momentum.

The event was further enriched by the presence of provincial tourism leaders:

• Rozelle Sanggalang, Provincial Tourism Officer of Cavite
• Jaide Castillo, Provincial Tourism Officer of Batangas
• Maricel Aragones-Perez, representing the Laguna Provincial Tourism Office
• Roel Supendio, representing the Province of Rizal
• Andrew Pacumio and Jaime Tepora of Premier Cavite Tourism Board

Also in attendance were Red C. Alano and Joyce Caintal of DOT 4A, who documented the proceedings, ensuring the event’s legacy is preserved.

The Marching Band of General Trias City added prestige to the ceremony, performing the National Anthem and entertaining the crowd with spirited renditions that set a celebratory tone.

The launch of ONE CALABARZON symbolizes a unified front in promoting the region’s diverse attractions—from heritage towns and natural wonders to modern leisure hubs—cementing CALABARZON’s place as a vital contributor to Philippine tourism.
