189 Akeanons receive UPLIFT assistance from DSWD FO VI

MAKATO, Aklan- A total of 189 beneficiaries from the Municipality of Makato, Aklan successfully received their assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI) under the Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Assistance.

The Unified Package for Livelihood, Industry, Food and Transport (UPLIFT) is the national government’s social protection program that provides financial assistance to poor, near-poor, and low-income families affected by rising prices of fuel, electricity, and other basic commodities.

Eligible Group 2 beneficiaries will receive PHP2,000 per household every month from July to December 2026, for a total assistance of PHP12,000. The July assistance is being distributed through manual payout, while the succeeding monthly payouts will be released through the beneficiary’s chosen digital bank or e-wallet.
