DTI Releases Price Guide of School Supplies

Kalibo, Aklan- The Department of Trade and Industry  (DTI) released the “Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies” for the School Year 2024-2025  last July 3 in preparation for the opening of classes scheduled this July 29.

The price guide may be used as reference by consumers in purchasing basic School supplies including specific brands of notebooks, pad papers, pencils, ballpoint pens; crayons, erasers, sharpeners and rulers.

In buying these items, the agency also encouraged the general public to be watchful on what to look out for especially on the labels, trademarks, brand name, the number of pages and type of paper used (applicable to pad paper) and the hardness and tip classification (applicable to pencils and ballpens).

DTI Aklan Provincial Office under the Consumer Protection Unit (CPU) has already conducted price monitoring activities to ensure the adherence of the merchants to the said price guide.
