Recognition celebrates a people-first journey and steadfast commitment to employee welfare

ILOILO CITY — From a modest bakery in Kalibo to one of the region’s leading food manufacturers, Filbake Food Corporation (FFC) has proven that success built on people and purpose can create a lasting legacy. The company’s journey was honored at PASIDUNGOG 2025, the annual awards ceremony of PhilHealth Region VI, where FFC was recognized as 2nd Place in the Exemplary Employer – Private Sector, Large Account Category on 21 October 2025 in Iloilo City.

The award, presented by Dr. Edwin Mercado, Chief Executive Officer of PhilHealth, highlights FFC’s exceptional dedication to employee welfare, health coverage, and long-term partnership with PhilHealth. Representing the company at the ceremony were Atty. Droi Cudiamat, Human Resources Manager, and Bernadette Iremedio, Consultant for Filbake Food Corporation.

From its early days as a small local enterprise, FFC has always believed that its people are the heart and soul of the business. Today, with a growing workforce across Western Visayas and MIMAROPA, the company continues to champion the principle that business growth should go hand-in-hand with the well-being of those who make it possible.

The celebration of excellence did not end there. Ms. Wea May Luces Casiano, FFC’s Account Officer, was also named Best Performing PEER (PhilHealth Employer Engagement Representative) in the Private Sector – Large Account category — a testament to the company’s strong collaboration with PhilHealth and its proactive approach to employee support.
