Habal- habal Rider Arrested in Buy-Bust Operation

Boracay Island-  A suspect involved in the illegal drug trade was apprehended by the Malay Municipal Police Station during a buy-bust operation conducted in coordination with the PDEA on the evening of February 21, 2026, in Sitio Lugutan, Brgy. Manocmanoc, Boracay Island.

The suspect was identified as a male resident of Sitio Malabunot, Manocmanoc, Malay, Aklan.

The operation was carried out by operatives of the Malay MPS under the direct supervision of Poice Lieutenant Coronel Allain Terence Licdan, Chief of Police.

The suspect was caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to a poseur buyer. Confiscated from the suspect were the following: plastic sachets containing suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), marked money used in the transaction, Identification documents.

Appropriate charges are being prepared against the suspect for violation of the following provisions of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002: Section 5 – Selling of Dangerous Drugs and Section 11 – Possession of Dangerous Drugs.

The arrested individual is currently under custody of Malay MPS for booking and further legal procedures.
