Malay To Showcase Boracay Tourism Offerings @ 2026 Travel Expo

MALAY, AKLAN — The Municipality of Malay, through its Municipal Tourism Office, is set to showcase the tourism attractions, experiences, and services of Malay-Boracay at the 2026 GTBA-ONEKLIK 4th Travel Sale Expo from October 2 to 4 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.
The three-day travel expo will be held at Megatrade Halls 2 and 3, 5th Floor, SM Megamall, where the Municipality of Malay will occupy Booth Nos. 82 and 83.
The LGU-Malay is participating in the event alongside local tourism stakeholders, including the Malay Boracay Vendors, Peddlers, Masseurs, Manicurists, and Hair Braiders Association Inc. (MABOVEN), Boracay Mabuhay Host Association Inc. (MABUHAY HOST), and Layod’s Travel & Tours.
The participation aims to bring Malay-Boracay closer to travelers and potential visitors by highlighting its diverse tourism products, services, experiences, and attractions.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. on October 2, with government officials, tourism industry leaders, ambassadors, local chief executives, business representatives, and other guests expected to attend.
Among the listed guests and speakers are officials from the Department of Tourism (DOT), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA), Metrobank, and representatives of ASEAN embassies and diplomatic missions.
Former DOT Secretary Christina Frasco, former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, and several local government officials are also listed among the guests.
The Municipality of Malay is inviting travelers, tourism industry partners, and the public to visit its booths and discover the tourism offerings of Malay, Aklan—home to Boracay Island.
