Payout for RCEF Farmers Financial Assistance

The Department of Agriculture-Regional Field Office 6 (DA-RFO 6) in partnership with DBP-USSC and the Municipal Government of Banga conducted the 1st batch roll out of the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF)-Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA) Payout at the Dome of Banga, Aklan yesterday, December 11, 2021.
About 523 rice farmers received ₱5,000.00 as a direct compensation to rice farmers projected income loss for the drop in palay prices. Banga has a total of 3,470 RSBSA Registered rice farmers tilling 2 hectares and below to received the RFFA. Banga has a total allocation of ₱17.35 Million, almost 11% of Aklan’s allocation of ₱159.29 Million good for 32,859 rice farmers.
Yesterday’s activity was attended by Mayor Erlinda M. Maming. She thanked the rice farmers for their efforts in feeding the community. Earlier, VM Noel Redison visited the area.
DA RFO 6 would like to thank OIC MAO Myrnalyn Suante for accepting the schedule even on a Saturday. DA has to take advantage of the presence of USSC after the Launching Ceremony of RCEF-RFFA at ABL Sports Complex with Kalibo and Numancia rice farmers last friday, December 10, 2021.
