Project M.A.R.I.T.E.S.S. in Boracay

Boracay Island – The Malay Advisory Group officially adopted and expressed its full support for two (2) key community safety initiatives of the Malay Municipal Police Station, namely Project S.A.V.E.R. and Project M.A.R.I.T.E.S.S., through the passage of Resolution Nos. 001 and 002, Series of 2026.

The adoption was carried out under the leadership of MAG Chairperson Mr. Dindo Salazar, reflecting the Advisory Group’s strong commitment to strengthening police community partnership, enhancing public safety, and promoting the protection of vulnerable sectors, particularly children.
Resolution No. 001, Series of 2026 adopts and supports Project S.A.V.E.R. (Support, Awareness, Victim Empowerment, Enforcement, and Recovery) as an official advocacy and community partnership initiative. The project focuses on combating human trafficking, child abuse, sexual exploitation, and related offenses, while ensuring victim protection, empowerment, and recovery.
Meanwhile, Resolution No. 002, Series of 2026 adopts Project M.A.R.I.T.E.S.S. (Malay Revitalized Intelligence Thru Enhanced Security and Safety), a community-based Neighborhood Watch Program designed to encourage active community participation in crime prevention, grassroots intelligence gathering, and timely reporting of security concerns in coordination with law enforcement authorities.
Both initiatives are aligned with the PNP Community-Based Policing Strategy and the Community Service Oriented Policing, underscoring the shared responsibility of the police, local government units, and the community in maintaining peace and order.
The Malay Municipal Police Station led by PLTCOL ALAIN TERENCE L LICDAN, Chief of Police expressed its gratitude to the Malay Advisory Group for its continued support, emphasizing that sustainable peace and security can only be achieved through unity, vigilance, and cooperation between the police and the community.
With the formal adoption of Project S.A.V.E.R. and Project M.A.R.I.T.E.S.S., the Municipality of Malay takes a significant step forward in strengthening community resilience, protecting lives, and ensuring a safer and more secure environment for all.
