Tangalan town allows female LGU employees to work from home for 2 days a month during monthly period
Tangalan, AklanStarting this February, female employees of the local government of Tangalan, Aklan will be allowed to work from home two days a month during their monthly period.
This was after the ordinance approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan last December took effect this February, according to a report on Unang Balita on Monday.
Some women experience pain whenever they have menstruation.
With the ordinance, they need not file for a leave of absence during those days.
The municipality of Tangalan became the first town in Aklan to implement such an ordinance. /GMATV
