Tigayon Hill is now open for devotees for Station of the Cross tradition

KALIBO, Aklan- The Tigayon Hill is now open for devotees who want to do stations of the cross this Holy Week.

Rhea Rose Meren, the head of the Municipal Tourism Office confirmed this to Boracay Island News Network in an interview.

It can be recalled that the Tigayon Hill, a prime tourism destination in Kalibo had been closed to the public for two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to the pandemic, the Tigayon Hill is visited by thousands of devotees from all over the province to do their devotional prayers as a sacrifice in the stations of the cross.

Aside from Tigayon Hill, another station of the cross pilgrimage, Manduyog Hill also opened to the public recently. The Manduyog Hill is managed by the Aklan state University- Banga Campus.
