The Malay Municipal Police Station Motorcycle Unit joined with the Municipal Traffic and Regulatory Office headed by Cesar Oczon with his Deputy for Boracay Operations Mr. Ryan Tubi to lead traffic enforcement and help address the surge of vehicular accidents and traffic congestion at Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
In a report on Monday, Malay Chief of Police PLTCOL DON DICKSIE DE DIOS provided data on 28 apprehensions of unregistered vehicles including single motorbikes, topdown and multicab which have violated Article 18 of Mun. Traffic Code ‘Special Permit to Transport Vehicles to Boracay Island.
“We will intensify our traffic operations to clear our roads of colorum services so that our motorists would have speedy traffic flow.” PLTCOL DE DIOS also said.
The Malay PNP assured that they will continue to assist in traffic management with a secondary focus on the apprehension of traffic violators.
These impounded vehicles will be transported to mainland Malay and the owners are punishable with fines and/or penalties provided under Article 18 of Mun. Traffic Code ‘Special Permit to Transport Vehicles to Boracay Island.
