PCCI- HRDF lauds BIR-74 for concise explanation on tax incentives law

KALIBO, Aklan- The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Human Resources Development Foundation (PCCI-HRDF) has lauded the Bureau of Internal Revenue District 74 Iloilo for their concise explanation on tax incentives law.

In a Zoom meeting held Tuesday, at least three BIR personnel participated in the meeting attended by different sectors in both the Western Visayas and Bicol region.

The explanation on the tax incentives law is  part of the private sector engagement efforts of PCCI-HRDF with support from the Asia Foundation through the ABC+ Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines project of the Department of Education, implemented and in partnership with the US Agency for International Development and RTI International.

“In the past, many corporations are having a hard time availing of the tax incentives law with the BIR. We are thankful that the BIR has responded to our call in explaining to us the merits of the said law,” said Galvez.

The three BIR personnel were Revenue District Officer 3 Karen Grace A. Salarda, Revenue Officer 2 Jerena I. Nacar, and Revenue District Officer 1 Mary Janelle B. Lontoc.

Also supporting the program were officers and members of different stakeholders in Western Visayas coming from the Kiwanis International Div 2C, PCCI-Aklan, PCCI-Halaran Capiz, Kiwanis Jewels, Kiwanis Ati-atihan, KAMI-Antique,

For his part, Ronald So, regional consultanr for WV of the PCCI-HRDF also thanked the participants for attending the said forum.
