KALIBO, AKLAN — The Aklan Food Chain Credit Cooperative (AFCCC) proudly highlighted its journey of growth and shared success during its 9th General Assembly held at the Ati-Atihan Festival Hotel—a testament to what collective initiative and unity among members can achieve.

Built through the determination of employees within the food manufacturing and supply chain sector, AFCCC has grown from a humble ₱100,000 starting capital into a robust cooperative with ₱13.5 million in total resources and 200 members. Its success stands as a clear example of how people-driven initiatives can create sustainable financial institutions.

Under the leadership of Chairperson Janesville Agreda and the Board of Directors, the cooperative continues to practice good governance, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that every member remains at the center of its growth. Its accreditation with the Land Bank of the Philippines and the Small Business Corporation further strengthens its ability to serve and expand.

AFCCC provides essential credit support for education, healthcare, housing, motor vehicles, and small businesses, alongside savings and time deposit services. More importantly, it actively invests in its members through livelihood training, personal finance education, and community service activities, reinforcing a culture of empowerment and shared responsibility.

Leaders emphasized that the cooperative’s achievements are not driven by capital alone, but by the initiative, discipline, and cooperation of its members. As it looks ahead, AFCCC invites more employees in Aklan’s food and service industries to join—continuing a movement where ordinary workers, united by purpose, build extraordinary progress for themselves and their communities.
