Aklan Governor Miraflores appointed as the new chair of the RPOC-VI

KALIBO, Aklan- On April 10, 2025, a significant event took place at the Provincial Capitol Building in Kalibo, Aklan, marking the ceremonial appointment of the new Chairperson for the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) VI, in the person of Governor Jose Enrique M. Miraflores. The ceremony was held on the 2nd floor of the building, attended by officials and stakeholders dedicated to enhancing peace and order in the region.

The event commenced with the presentation of the appointment certificate by DILG Regional Director Juan Jovian E. Ingeniero, CESO III with DILG Aklan Provincial Director Dino A. Ponsaran, CESO V, to Governor Jose Enrique M. Miraflores. The certificate, signed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Among the attendees who are members of the RPOC are Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 6 OIC-Regional Executive Director Raul L. Lorilla and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Region 6 Regional Director Atty. Ramar Neil V. Pascua. Their presence illuminated the collaborative spirit of the council and underscored the shared commitment to fostering peace and order in the region.

This cerem ony not only marked a new leadership chapter for the RPOC but also reinforced the importance of cooperation among various government agencies in addressing the challenges of peace and security within the community.
