Kalibo, Aklan- The Movement of Gratitude’s call for bayanihan has once again brought hope where it is needed most.

On November 20, the donations gathered through the #BangonCebu initiative officially arrived at the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) warehouse in Cebu—marking a significant step in extending relief to families affected by Typhoon Tino.

The donations collected since November 5 include essential items for babies and women such as diapers, baby wipes, sanitary products, and hygiene kits. An outpouring of support came from kind-hearted individuals and groups from Aklan, led by the Movement, with generous contributions from its sponsors.

Wadeford School and the Interact Club of Wadeford School, under the leadership of Principal Bernard Fernandez, also gathered donations, including canned goods, noodles, biscuits, hygiene kits, and clothing in good condition.

These contributions, together with those from the Movement, were delivered by JAM Trucking Services to Cebu. A portion of the donations will be endorsed to Chona Magpulong of Team Uwak, a youth group that posted a call for donations specifically for children.

They will help facilitate the distribution to residents of Upper Pakigne, Danawan, Minglanilla, Cebu. The PSWDO, through Hazel Padeos, will handle the remaining items to ensure these reach areas heavily affected by the typhoon and families who continue to struggle in its aftermath. The heartfelt support of donors made this mission possible.

Their generosity proves that kindness, when shared, multiplies—and inspires more people to take part in helping others.

From individuals who gave what they could to organizations that stood in solidarity, every contribution became part of a collective effort to uplift communities in need.

Through this initiative, strangers became allies, and compassion became a movement. As the Movement continues to live by its purpose of keeping the movement going, it extends its deepest appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this cause. Together, we rise, rebuild, and restore hope. ‘

Daghang salamat, kind hearts. Padayon ta sa pagtabang.
