DSWD-6 releases Php 3M relief assistance to 4 LGUs in Iloilo

ILOILO City – A total of Php 3,032,296.00 worth of relief assistance was given by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VI to four towns in Iloilo as an augmentation to the existing resources of the Local Government Units (LGUs) onset of the Tropical Depression Agaton.
Of the amount, these were composed of 5,336 Family Food Packs (FFPs) worth Php 2,593,296 which were distributed in towns of Ajuy with 1,500 FFPs, Sara, 1,699; Banate, 1,137; and Dingle, 1,000.
Also, 100 pieces modular tents worth Php 439,000.00 were distributed to the town of Banate, Iloilo.
Earlier, the Department assured that it will augment the resources of the LGUs affected by TD Agaton.
“We will augment the resources of the LGUs in responding to the situation. While the LGUs remain at the forefront of disaster response, kami, we are ready na tulungan sila,” said Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre./
