DSWD6 leads 4th Quarter Regional Disaster Response Early Recovery Meeting
Iloilo City- The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD FO VI) hosted the 4th Quarter Regional Disaster Response and Early Recovery Meeting of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) VI today, November 14, 2025.
The session gathered member agencies of the disaster response committee to review coordinated response efforts following the recent impact of Tropical Cyclones Ramil, Tino, and Uwan, as well as small-scale incidents.
The discussion also centered on ensuring that all components of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan are fully carried out following the response efforts of the member agencies.
The meeting also included a presentation of accomplishments under the Response RDRRM Plan.
The meeting was presided over by DSWD6 OIC-Assistance Regional Director for Administration Ryan De La Gente.
As the council’s vice chair for disaster response and early recovery, DSWD6 continues to oversee disaster response operations in Western Visayas.
The agency underscored the need for timely, well-organized actions, strict adherence to protocols, and clear communication with the public during disasters.
