Commission on Higher Education (CHED) announced last Tuesday, January 11, 2022 that the face-to-face classes of all the degrees in the Higher Education Institutions would be implemented at the end of this month, January 31, 2022. The second phase of this memorandum could take power as long as the school’s area is under the Alert Level 3 warning.
Initially, with the implementation of the Phase 1 limited face-to-face classes various schools have already performed a limited face-to-face class educational system with the few selected courses that were prioritized because of their need for a hands-on practice to develop the practical skills that the students would need after they graduate and join the society of professionals. Medically inclined courses are one of those.
With this newly released statement by CHED all higher education level courses could go back to the face-to-face mode of education. This Go signal is accompanied with given guidelines promulgated by CHED and the Department of Health (DOH) such as: the school’s staff, professors and students must be vaccinated.
Some schools states on their guidelines that it is not mandatory for the students to get vaccinated. However, some also states that students that are vaccinated are the only ones that could participate with the face-to-face classes.
Every individual are now just waiting on what else could happen. Schools are all on the move on accomplishing the required safety and health standard in order for them to conduct a face-to-face class. Students are all still on their modules and online classes with a few that are already attending a limited face-to-face class. This would all come down with the decisions that the people above would make. Everyone is wary for any announcement.
