Kalibo LGU Honors Top Businesses, Real Property Taxes During 455th Founding Anniversary

KALIBO, Aklan — Mayor Juris Bautista-Sucro personally recognized the municipality’s top business establishments and real property taxpayers during the celebration of Kalibo’s 455th founding anniversary on November 3, 2026, at the Bagong Kalibo Multi-Purpose Covered Court.

The awarding ceremony honored the top 10 business taxpayers and top 10 real property taxpayers for Calendar Year 2026, recognizing their contributions to the municipality’s economic development and local revenue generation.

Sanford Marketing Corp. topped the list of business taxpayers, earning Rank 1 and Hall of Fame recognition. Mercury Drug Corp. secured second place, followed by Gaisano Capital Kalibo in third place and Gaisano Grand in fourth.

Completing the top 10 business taxpayers were Regalado & Cipriano Supermart Inc., Davao Citihardware Inc., Citihardware Bacolod Inc., Watsons Personal Care Stores (Philippines) Inc., FU’s Merchandise de Kalibo Inc., and Dannibee Foods Corporation, recognized for Jollibee Drive Thru.

Meanwhile, Heva Management & Development Corp. emerged as the top real property taxpayer and was also recognized under the Hall of Fame. Ri-Rance Realty Corporation (Unitop) ranked second, followed by Rodulfo and Waldetrudes Garcia/Ariel and Caridad Q. Garcia in third place.

FU’s Merchandise de Kalibo Inc. ranked fourth, while Matina LCY Trading Corporation (Citi Hardware–Tigayon) placed fifth. Other awardees were Royal Four Seasons Corporation, Mabuhay Maritime Express Transport Inc., Ang Pue Hardware & Lumber/Clifford Construction Corp., William Hui Ti/Lysa Ti Uy/Lyna Hui Ti, and Vallacar Transit Inc.

The recognition highlighted the vital role of businesses and property owners in supporting Kalibo’s development through responsible tax payment and their contributions to the municipality’s programs, infrastructure, and public services.

Mayor Sucro’s recognition of the awardees formed part of the municipality’s 455th founding anniversary celebration, honoring the private sector’s partnership in building a progressive and economically vibrant Kalibo.
