Mayor Bautista revives front beach parties

Boracay Island, Malay Aklan- Malay Mayor Frolibar Bautista has officially revived the beach parties in cooperation with the front beach bars on this resort island. In a meeting held at the Red Coconut Resort  March 3, 2024.

Bautista reiterated that he promised the revival of the front beach during the Full Moon Beach Party held at the Greenyard, Bulabog, on February 24, 2024.

“The said Full Moon party is a success. To fulfill my promise, we are going to start the front beach party by March 9,” he told the bar owner representatives. He added that the all-year-round  front beach parties will be held every Friday and Saturday night at the different bars here on a rotational basis.

The bar owners have yet to recommend to Mayor Bautista the holding of another Full Moon Beach party. At least eight bars joined the meeting and welcomed the said move.

Felix Delos Santos, the Malay tourism officer, was tasked with promoting the weekly event. The Korean residents of Boracay Island, Malay Aklan (KROB), also committed to help in the promotion.

The bar owners and the local government are confident that the week-end beach parties will lure millenial tourists from all over the world to visit Boracay.
