Mayor Sucro Formally Organizes KAFEB for Ati-atihan Revelry

KALIBO, Aklan- Kalibo Mayor Juris Bautista-Sucro has officially signed an executive order creating the Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival Board (KAFEB).

In a four-page document, Sucro signed executive order no. 036. The KAFEB will be personally chaired by Sucro.

Among those personalities included in the KAFEB were Vice Mayor Cynthia Dela Cruz, Councilor Ronald Marte who chairs the committee on tourism, promotions and special events; Councilor Philip Kimpo Jr., chair of the ways and means; Executive Assistant II Giselle Quimpo; Municipal Budget Officer Medette Viray; Mark Mitchell Sy, Josefina Lucille Dela Cruz and Ramon Dio of the Kalibo Ostrich Farm and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Aklan Chapter.

The KAFEB’s functions and responsibilities include developing, organizing, and managing the Kalibo Ati-atihan and the Opening Salvo; conducting regular promotional initiatives; and conducting post-event evaluations of the Kalibo Ati-atihan.

The members of the secretariat are chaired by Raffy Hilario and the members are Kathleen Rose Parman and Fritzie Anne Rillo. The KAFEB was developed after the Sanguniang Bayan of Kalibo approved on September 19, Ordinance No. 2022-4003 authorizing Sucro for the passage of KAFEB.
