Boracay Island- In Boracay, women have long been at the heart of businesses, families, and communities, quietly carrying responsibilities that keep the island moving forward.
Yet in the spaces where decisions are made, their voices are still too often missing.
For Djila Winebrenner President of Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Boracay, one of the biggest barriers she had to overcome was not capability but hesitation.
“If you care about your community, you show up, you participate, and you speak honestly.”

Through years of service in tourism and business, she has come to believe that leadership is not defined by volume or authority, but by intention and responsibility.
“Leadership is not about position or title. It is about service to the community you belong to.”
Her vision is simple but powerful. A wider table, where more women are not just supporting industries, but helping shape the decisions that guide them.
Because when more women step into these conversations, communities like Boracay become stronger, more inclusive, and better prepared for the future.
