Ella Cristofani renews passion in acting after FDCP’s Masters Series workshop

Filipino-Italian actress Daniela “Ella” Cristofani recently completed The Masters Series: FDCP Acting Workshop for Filipino Talents 2026.

Organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the acting workshop provided participants with rigorous training from three of Philippine cinema’s most respected directors.

“To learn from some of the country’s finest Directors – Direk Laurice Guillen, Direk Joey Javier Reyes, and Direk Joel Lamangan – is a privilege I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you for sharing not only your knowledge and wisdom, but also your passion, generosity, and unwavering love for the craft. Every session challenged me to become a better artist and reminded me that acting is a lifelong pursuit of truth,” Cristofani noted.

Under their guidance, Cristofani immersed herself in rigorous sessions focused on character development, emotional depth, and the discipline required to sustain a long-term acting career.

Cristofani first entered the public eye as a contestant on StarStruck Season 7 in 2019. She went on to showcase her acting in several GMA Network projects, most notably delivering a memorable performance as Kelly in the afternoon drama Raising Mamay.

Despite her onscreen momentum, Cristofani eventually stepped away from acting. The quiet hiatus, while necessary, created a sense of disconnect from her creative purpose.

“There was a time when I wasn’t as active in acting, and somewhere along the way, I lost a part of myself. It was a quiet kind of heartbreak that left me wondering if I’d ever feel that spark again. This masterclass became so much more than a workshop – it became a homecoming. It healed something in me and reminded me why I fell in love with acting in the first place,” she admitted.

The actress described the FDCP’s Masters Series as far more than just a skill-building workshop. For her, it served as a restorative “homecoming” that helped heal her burnout and rekindled her hunger for acting after a period of stepping back from performance.

“This masterclass became so much more than a workshop – it became a homecoming. It healed something in me and reminded me why I fell in love with acting in the first place,” Cristofani shared.

“This experience reminded me that sometimes, finding your way back to what you love also means finding the people who help you remember who you are,” she added.

The intensive training program marked an important achievement and artistic turning point in her career. With refined skills, a fresh artistic perspective, and a restored commitment to her craft, Cristofani emerges from the 2026 Masters Series ready for her next chapter in the industry.
