Boracay Island- As part of its commitment to disaster preparedness and community safety, Alta Vista de Boracay conducted its own Earthquake and Tsunami Evacuation Drill in line with the Simultaneous Drill Mandate of the
Malay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).
The activity aimed to strengthen awareness and enhance readiness among employees, residents, and guests in the event of an earthquake or tsunami. Through this initiative, Alta Vista de Boracay reaffirms its dedication to promoting safety, preparedness, and resilience within the community.
During the drill, participants followed key safety reminders:

Duck, Cover, and Hold when the shaking starts.

Move calmly to open and safe areas.

Evacuate to higher ground if there is a tsunami warning.

Keep an emergency go-bag ready at all times.
Alta Vista de Boracayโs management expressed its strong support for government-led safety initiatives, emphasizing that preparedness is vital in saving lives.
โPreparedness is not just the responsibility of a fewโitโs a shared duty of the entire community. By working together, we become stronger and more resilient against any disaster,โ the management said.
Through this joint effort, Alta Vista de Boracay and the local government aim to foster a culture of safety and resilience across the island of Boracay.
