Nabas, Aklan- In a town where the wind hums through hills and rivers run clear with mountain memory, the young women of Nabas, Aklan rise—not just in beauty, but in voice, spirit, and cultural pride.
This September, Nabas Mayor James Solanoy, Vice Mayor Stephen Bolivar and other local government officials set the stage for Miss Nabas Tourism 2025, a pageant that’s less about crowns and more about calling. More than just a title, the search for Miss Nabas is a tribute to the modern Nabasnon woman—one who carries tradition in her bones and dreams far beyond borders.
She might have grown up weaving bariw leaves with her lola, diving in cold springs with cousins, or dancing through the streets during the Bariw Festival. Now, she stands as a proud representative of a town quietly becoming Aklan’s next cultural and tourism gem. This year’s candidates bring with them more than just talent and elegance.
They embody the stories of their barangays, the warmth of their communities, and the strength of women who have long shaped Nabas behind the scenes—as mothers, leaders, entrepreneurs, artists, and advocates. As the wind carries Nabas closer to national recognition,
Miss Nabas Tourism 2025 becomes more than a celebration of beauty—it becomes a powerful reflection of heritage, resilience, and the unstoppable grace of its women. These women don’t just represent Nabas — they are Nabas. In their walk, you see the winding rivers. In their answers, the wisdom of grandmothers.
In their eyes, the stories of a town trying to remember itself. This is not just a crown. This is a place reclaiming its voice. And it’s the women leading the way.
