Sumilao farmers urged undecided voters to opt for VP Leni/Kiko

KALIBO, Aklan- Farmers from Bukidnon province in Mindanao have urged voters who are still undecided who to vote for President to vote for both Presidential candidate Leni Robredo and her tandem Vice Presidential candidate Kiko Pangilinan.

Some ten farmers known as Sumilao or Higaonons started their journey to visit different provinces in the country to campaign for Leni. They are expected to reach Manila by May 7, 2022 to join the miting de avance of the Kakampinks.

The group along with several sectors mostly from the cooperative sector visited Aklan last April 9.

The group was welcomed by Aklanon for Leni Youth. Doctors for Robredo in Aklan also conducted check ups to the farmers to ensure that they are in the pink of health as they continue their journey in Metro Manila.

“We learned that there are still many voters who are undecided for the May 9, 2022 elections. We urged them to opt for Leni and Kiko because they were the one who fought for us in our quest to obtain farm lands in Bukidnon,” said Nolan Peñas, one of the Sumilao farmer leaders.

While in Aklan, the farmers conducted a meeting with Rev. Fr. Joebert Villasis at the Aklan Catholic College. The group also conducted a torch parade in Banga, Aklan.
