
KALIBO, Aklan- In celebration of the 69th Aklan Day, the Department of Trade and Industry Aklan Provincial Office will be holding the Hinuguran It Akeanon Trade Fair on April 25 โ May 3, 2025 at the Godofredo P. Ramos Park, Capitol Site, Estancia, Kalibo, Aklan.
The trade fair pays tribute to Aklanโs cultural heritage by featuring renowned local festivals such as the Aklan Piรฑa & Fiber Festival, Talibong Festival, and Ati-Atihan Festival.
The event will highlight Aklanon artisans’ creativity, craftsmanship, and resilience through the years and how they have risen to every challenge in their small businesses.
Locally-made products by our 70 skilled micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) will be spotlighted in different individual and shared booths with a special set-up to feature these industry sectors. The displays will consist of loomwoven fabrics and wearables made of our very own piรฑa and other indigenous fibers, fashion accessories, gifts, furnishings, decorative crafts, and food products, among others.
Fiveย institutional buyers have been invited to attend the trade fair and visit selected production sites of our Aklanon MSME producers in the different municipalities. They are the following:
1) Tesoroโs Handicrafts; 2
) Likha Artisanal Handmade Goods;
3) Kingsmen Bespoke;
4) Gourmet Corner PH; and
5) Tan-Gan Fashion Brand.
This initiative is in collaboration of the Provincial Government of Aklan, DTI Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP), Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council (PSMEDC) and Aklan Fashion Designers Association (AFDA).
To officially open the trade fair, a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on April 25, 2025 during the 69th Aklan Day Celebration Program.
