Tangalan, Aklan- To support returning overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in rebuilding their sources of income, the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office VI (DSWD6) extended livelihood assistance to repatriated OFWs Ruby Ann Opiรฑa and Jeanne G. Arcemo, residents of Aklan Province

The two participants previously worked in the Middle East but were forced to return home after the conflict in the region affected their employment. Faced with the challenge of starting over, they sought assistance from the DSWD6 SLP to help rebuild their livelihoods and provide for their families.
With the livelihood assistance they received, Ruby Ann and Jeanne now each have the opportunity to establish their own enterprises and work toward a more stable future in their communities. The support forms part of the DSWD SLPโs continuing efforts to help vulnerable individuals and families achieve economic self-sufficiency./cdf/Glory Mae Panase
