On October 10-13, 2026, BENTE Productions Inc., a multimedia company based in the Philippines, participated in the Asian Contents and Film Market (ACFM), held in Busan, South Korea. The ACFM will offer an opportunity to connect with international streaming platforms and explore the possibility of showcasing Filipino films to a global audience.
Launched in 2024, BENTE Productions aims to shine a light on authentic Filipino stories and share them with audiences worldwide. Kusinerang Bulag, the production companyโs second feature film, follows the story of Luz, a passionate young cook who found herself fighting to save her family’s restaurant despite losing her sight in a tragedy.
Currently, the team is preparing for its third film titled Sulat para kay Tatay (Letters for my Father), a heartwarming story about a daughter in search of her estranged father.
“Beyond building our brand, we aim to bring community stories to the forefront. It is also the reason why we created this platform, to amplify Filipino voices, showcasing both struggles and grit to the world,” BENTE Productions President Ms. Marilyn Magampon Manila shared.
Beyond filmmaking, BENTE Productions carries with it the spirit of empowering communities. The multimedia company grew out of CARD Mutually Reinforcing Institutions (CARD MRI), a social development organization founded in 1986. With 40 institutions working together to eradicate poverty, CARD MRI’s mission of empowerment is now finding expression on the global screen through BENTE Productions.
Joining the BENTE Productions delegation are the filmโs cast, winners of Sinemaya 2025, the multimedia company’s annual community short film festival, along with media partners who continue to support CARD MRI’s advocacy. Together, they hope to strengthen industry connections and explore opportunities for future collaborations with other production companies.
More than a milestone, BENTE Productions firmly believes that participating in events like ACFM will be a significant step toward establishing its presence and promoting CARD MRI’s advocacy on the global screen.
