Boracay Island, Philippines — White Beach in Boracay has once again earned global recognition after being named the top choice among the “Best Beaches in the World for Sunbathing, Surfing, and Doing Absolutely Nothing,” based on the latest Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

The recognition was featured in a December 12, 2025 digital article written by Kat Chen and published by Condé Nast Traveler, a New York-based luxury and lifestyle travel magazine published since 1987 and widely regarded as one of the most influential voices in global travel and tourism.

The annual Readers’ Choice Awards are based on the preferences of travelers themselves, drawing responses from 757,109 readers worldwide who voted for the hotels, resorts, cruises, spas, and destinations they love most.

The article highlighted Boracay’s iconic 2.5-mile stretch of pristine, powdery-soft white sand, a defining feature that has long set White Beach apart from other beach destinations around the world. Its calm waters, wide shoreline, and dramatic sunsets continue to attract visitors seeking both leisure and escape.

Beyond its natural appeal, Boracay was also recognized for its distinct seaside social, dining, and nightlife scene. The island has long been known for its vibrant mix of beachfront bars, lounges, and clubs, offering experiences that range from relaxed coastal dining to lively evening entertainment.

With accommodation and leisure options catering to a wide range of budgets, Boracay remains accessible to luxury travelers, families, and independent tourists alike. The recognition reinforces the island’s standing as one of the Philippines’ most iconic destinations and affirms its continued relevance in the highly competitive global beach tourism market.
