Boracay Island- The Rotary Club of Boracay Island achieved a significant milestone on September 17, 2025, with the signing of its first-ever sister club agreement with the Rotary Club of Makati North (RCMN). This momentous occasion took place during the club’s 6th Regular Club Meeting at the Paradise Garden Resort Hotel & Convention Center in Boracay Island.
The ceremony was marked by the presence of key leadership from both organizations. Representing the Rotary Club of Makati North were President Jose Tomas Meneses, Vice President and President-Elect Thomas Joseph Meneses, and Past President Christophe Bellinger. The event was witnessed by members of the Rotary Club of Boracay Island, led by President Immanuel Sodusta.
This sister club relationship opens new avenues for collaboration between the two organizations. The partnership will enable both clubs to coordinate and cooperate on projects of mutual interest, encourage member visitations, exchange publications and information about their Rotary activities, and potentially undertake joint global grant projects. Such agreements strengthen the international network of Rotary clubs and enhance their capacity to address community needs both locally and globally.
The establishment of this sister club relationship represents not only a first for the Rotary Club of Boracay Island but also a strategic step toward expanding their international service capabilities and strengthening bonds within the Rotary International community.
