Kalibo, Aklan – The Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-Atihan Inc., a chartered club under Division 2C of the Kiwanis International Philippine South District, has officially received its accreditation as a non-government organization (NGO) under the Provincial Government of Aklan.
Founded in 2003, the club has been at the forefront of children’s advocacy for health and welfare in Kalibo and across the province for more than two decades. Over the years, its members have reached hundreds of children in various communities and municipalities, spearheading programs that address health, education, and social needs.

Incoming President Bernadette Iremedio expressed the club’s renewed commitment to expand its projects and strengthen collaboration with both government agencies and private organizations. “Our mission remains clear – to serve the children of Aklan and be their voice in promoting their rights, health, and welfare,” Iremedio said.
As part of its forward-looking initiatives, the Kiwanis Club of Kalibo Ati-Atihan also plans to actively participate in the Provincial Health Board. This will allow the organization to contribute directly to policy discussions and serve as a strong advocate for children’s priorities in community health and outreach programs.
The club’s accreditation marks a milestone in its continuing legacy of service, aligning with Kiwanis International’s global mission of improving the world one child and one community at a time.
