Kalibo, Aklan  – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aklan reminds the public that the office does not contact individuals for national ID upgrades or updates online.

PSA Aklan has received reports of individuals being contacted by persons falsely claiming to be PSA personnel and offering assistance in “upgrading” national ID.

“The public is advised that these claims are fraudulent. PSA Aklan reiterates that all national ID services such as registration, updating or correction, and assistance in generating digital national IDs are conducted only through the national ID registration centers,” said Engr. Antonet Catubuan, PSA-Aklan head.

“PSA personnel will never ask for personal data, one-time passwords (OTP), or payment through unofficial means,” Catubuan added.

The public is strongly urged to remain vigilant, refrain from sharing personal information, and immediately report suspicious messages or calls to the nearest PSA office or through
official PSA platforms.
