The Department of Tourism (DOT), through its Office of Marketing and Development (OMD), hosted a business-to-business meeting with several travel trade partners from Mongolia on Tuesday (Jan. 6) at the Hilton Manila Newport World Resorts.
Bringing together Mongolian travel trade agents and Philippine private sector partners, the networking session served as a platform to forge business opportunities and strengthen tourism partnerships between the Philippines and Mongolia.
The business-to-business meeting supports the recently launched direct chartered flights between Mongolia and the Philippines, which enhance accessibility and convenience of travelers. Operated by Hunnu Air LLC, the special chartered flights are scheduled for four rotations until January 10.
Mongolia is a niche and emerging tourism market for the Philippines.
DOT officials present during the business-to-business meeting were Tourism Attache to Beijing Ireneo Reyes and Director Azucena Pallugna.
