Boracay Island- The Boracay White Beach Festival 2025 officially opened today, October 27, 2025, in front of Epic Boracay, Station 2, Balabag, Malay, Aklan, marking the start of a week-long celebration dedicated to the preservation and conservation of Boracay Island.
Now on its second year, this award-winning sports event is organized by the Local Government Unit of Malay, led by Mayor Frolibar Sacapaรฑo Bautista, Vice Mayor Niรฑo Carlos F. Cawaling, and the Malay Municipal Tourism Office headed by Dr. Felix G. Delos Santos Jr.
The festival once again brings together athletes, artists, entrepreneurs, stakeholders, organizations, and local communities in a celebration of unity, pride, and island spirit.
The event was graced by Hon. Florencio โJoenโ Miraflores, Congressman of Aklanโs 2nd District, who delivered an inspiring keynote message highlighting the positive developments in Boracayโs tourism industry and the significant progress toward the cityhood of the Municipality of Malay.
Appreciation was also extended to Mr. Dindo Miguel Salazar, Chairman of the Boracay Foundation Inc., for sharing his heartfelt message of support on behalf of Boracay stakeholders.
Among the highlights of the grand opening is the Sandcastle Making Contest, spearheaded by the Boracay Sandcastle Makers Association Inc. under the leadership of its President Ms. Demple Pagsuguiron, where participants across showcased their craftsmanship through intricate sand sculptures that reflect the islandโs natural beauty and commitment to eco-friendly tourism.
With an exciting lineup of sports competitions, cultural showcases, and community-driven activities throughout the week, the Boracay White Beach Festival 2025 continues to shine as a symbol of sustainability, athletic excellence, and community pride โ proving once again that Boracay is truly the #WorldsBestBeach.
