Boracay Island- The Department of Tourism (DOT) proudly announces another accolade for the Philippines, this time from TimesTravel, a renowned publication from India. Two of the nation’s most celebrated islands, Palawan and Boracay, have secured esteemed positions in the list of the “8 Most Visited Island Destinations in Asia.”
Palawan, often referred to as the “last frontier” of the Philippines for its breathtaking natural landscapes, earned the third spot. The article showcases Palawan’s stunning limestone cliffs and turquoise waters, particularly in El Nido and Coron, as well as the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Boracay, known for its powdery white sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, ranked fourth on the list. The piece highlights the island’s White Beach, famous for its vibrant atmosphere and spectacular sunsets, along with its array of water sports, lively nightlife, and diverse dining options.
