San Jose, Antique- The Antique National School (ANS) volleyball girls claimed their first-ever silver medal in 16 years of competing in the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) meet.
The team represented Antique in the championship game for secondary girls’ volleyball against powerhouse Bacolod Tay Tung High School Inc. of Negros Occidental. Bacolod Tay Tung High School Inc. is the current back-to-back champion of the Palarong Pambansa.
Negros Occidental took three sets from Antique, securing the championship title for the 2025 WVRAA during their match at the EBJ Gymnasium, Binirayan Sports Complex, in the capital town of San Jose de Buenavista. “Best experience para kanamun,” said Diasnes in an interview with the Provincial Information Office of Antique.
When asked if this game serves as good motivation for next year’s regional meet, Diasnes confidently said, “Yes.”
