
BANGA, Aklan- A young Akeanon girl has joined the United States Army in Juneau, Canada.
Atty. Ronilo Inventado, a former journalist who now works at the Aklan Provincial Prosecutor Office told the Boracay Island News Network that his youngest daughter, Hope Pastrana Inventado celebrated July 4th, Independence day with her fellow army trainees.
Atty. Inventado has served as a correspondent for the Philippine Star in Aklan in the 1980s.
“My youngest Hope Pastrana Inventado of Juneau, Alaska, USA, with her fellow US Army trainees. So proud of you, my buns,” he said in his Facebook post.
It was gathered that Hope started training in the Army last year.
Reports say Canada’s army is the land component of its armed forces, with over 30 occupations and a mix of full-time and part-time soldiers.
Inventados hails from Banga, Aklan.
